The Flamenco Gitana Company

Flamenco Gitana presents the music and dance that originates with the gypsies of southern Spain in the traditional format of the cuadro flamenco. Performances feature seasoned professionals of the flamenco puro style with passionate emerging talents. Performances are flexible to accomodate a variety of budgets and venues. Flamenco Gitana was founded by dancer-choreographer Maria Gitana and incorporated in the state of Washington in 2004. It has been endorsed by King County since 2005 in their Touring Arts Roster. The company is dedicated to educational programs. Lecture demonstrations, educational concerts, and workshops are age appropriate, preserve and promote Spanish culture and reinforce the value of multiculturalism. An educators companion workbook for classroom is available upon booking.
